You found already out how to get to us on the "Arrival" page. Now let's find out something about the surrounding area. The Cariboo was marked fundamentally by
the gold rush in the middle of the 19th century. Still one finds occasionally
gold here today and it is primarily very popular with children to look for the
noble metal with the gold washing pans. Our ranch belongs to the community of Bridge Lake at the highway 24. The highway 24 is an east-west connector and also an alternative and very scenic route from Vancouver to the Rocky Mountains. In every case it is worth to choose the highway 97, also called the Gold Rush Trail (Cariboo Waggon Road). Every place on the way to us has its own small and interesting history.
